Pouring a bucket of water over a plant and reading aloud 20 minutes of internet use draws a connection between one oversaturation with another.
An audience observed a bucket of water being poured over a plant both before and after an approximately 10 minute session of watching someone using the internet. The content on the internet was read aloud. The content was read in a stream of consciousness with no attempt at articulation to the audience. The abstract often absurd content someone reads on the internet become abstracted. Reading part of an Instagram post to the start of an advert to be immediately interrupted by a banal Facebook message. The disjointed information from its visual stimulus allowed objective assessment of the information's quality. Information may be important for growth but is the sheer quantity and poor quality of this information having the same effect a bucket of water has on a plant. The audience was left alone in the room with the computer halfway through. An audience alone looking at a computer reflects the network we interact with, alone, together
